Makayla Cohol, an LA-based dancer, originally from Canfield, Ohio, has been dancing since she could walk—her passion igniting at just 3 years old. With an early focus on hip hop and jazz, she quickly became a standout talent, supported by her parents and instructors who recognized her potential. Training under top mentors like Chase Bowden, Jaimie Goodwin, Courtney Combs, and Menina Fortunato, Makayla’s journey has been marked by unwavering determination, overcoming challenges to continue to develop and grow.

Makayla’s dedication to her craft is evident in her relentless pursuit of excellence, devoting countless hours every week to training across styles from ballet to ballroom. She has attended intensives led by industry professionals in New York City and LA.  In the competitive dance world, Makayla has won several titles, convention auditions, and assisting scholarships.

Known for her powerful emotional expression, captivating storytelling through movement, and exceptional musicality, Makayla has graced stages from Derek Hough's Dance for the Holiday show to NBA halftime performances to convention and performance stages. Beyond her dance prowess, her infectious personality and charisma make her a joy to be around. Looking ahead, Makayla aspires to have a commercial dance career, eventually transitioning from performer to choreographer, aiming to give back to the dance community and inspire the next generation.

Makayla will be attending the LA Establishment Establish You Program for the 2026-2027 program year.
